West and South Dorset Green Party will be holding its annual plant sale at Weymouth's Old Town Hall this Saturday from 2-4pm. There will be herbaceous perennials, shrubs, vegetable plants, fruit bushes and herbs on sale, as well as home made cakes and other refreshments, and activities to keep the children busy.
Event organiser Clare Sutton, who is also standing in the local elections on May 7th in Weymouth East, said:
"As well as lots of plant bargains there'll be delicious homemade cakes and activities for kids too. There will be a drawing competition and my mum is organising a very exciting treasure hunt, so bring the family along!
"There will also be the chance to chat to me and other local Green Party candidates and raise any issues that concern you, and the Old Town Hall itself has a fascinating history.
"Several people in Chapelhay and Rodwell have offered plant donations, and if you have any plants you'd like to donate, or swap, please do get in touch".
