GREEN PARTY CANDIDATE FOR DORCHESTER POUNDBURY - LEN HERBERT

Len Herbert is the Green Party candidate for Dorchester Poundbury in the Dorset Council local elections on May 2nd

I have lived in Poundbury since 2010.

I am retired with a previous career in engineering with BT Conferencing.

I have been a volunteer with Dorchester Transition Town and Poundbury Community farm since 2010. I have been a supporter of Greenpeace for 40 years and a member of the Green Party since 2008.

I am standing to give people the chance to vote Green and to remove the undemocratic Conservative control of Dorset Council. Dorset residents deserve a council that supports them and the communities that they live in. Dorset is a rural county where the environment plays a huge part in our wellbeing.

I will support farmers to cope with the challenges Climate Change is having on the landscape.

I see how much people want to enjoy clean rivers and seas and will do my utmost to improve their quality so we can all use them safely. I have supported the campaign against the Portland incinerator since 2010, we need to protect the Jurrassic coast status and provide clean air for all in Dorset.
