GREEN PARTY CANDIDATE FOR BRIDPORT - JULIAN JONES

Julian Jones is a Green Party candidate for Bridport in the Dorset Council local elections on May 2nd

Julian Jones, Kelvin Clayton and Bob Hamblett will be the Green Party candidates for Bridport in the Dorset Council local elections on May 2nd 2024.

Julian says, "I have been a town councillor in Bridport since 2015 and a Green Party member for about 25 years.  I am intending to stand for Dorset Council in May, hoping to have the chance to represent radical, green-minded Bridport there."

"My past career has included working in the civil service and for the Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution, and as a transport planner in local government."

"I am the Treasurer of, and now a resident of Bridport Cohousing.  I do voluntary work for the Dorset wildlife trust and am also a Sustrans ranger for a section of the cycle route NCN2 between Bridport and Litton Cheney."

"While Bridport is a great town it is not immune from the huge inequalities that plague the UK and I believe we will not succeed in tackling global heating and wildlife destruction unless that goes hand in hand with a far more equal society."
